Director of Operations
Brett has been in the golf industry for as long as he can remember. In fact, he spent his summers living on a golf course, as his parents managed the Hooper Golf Club in Walpole, NH for over 35 years. There he was involved in all aspects of the course from working in the golf shop, to mowing greens, assisting with events in the restaurant, and everything in between. In 2001 Brett joined GreenSpace Environmental. There he assisted with golf course and real estate permitting for some of the top courses in the United States. Brett has been with The Links since 2003. As the Director of Operations, Brett manages the day to day operations of the course, membership development, staffing, marketing and event management. When Brett isn’t at The Links in the office or on the course, he can be found at his two other business endeavors; Champlain Valley Self Storage and Vermont Custom Golf, as well as spending time with his two boys, Griffin and Graeme.
Libby Smith, a native Vermonter, having grown up in Essex Junction, has been in and around golf since a young age. In 2004 she joined the Professional Golf ranks after graduating from the University of Vermont, where she captained both the Women’s Basketball and Men’s Golf teams. After competing the last decade on the LPGA, the LET (Ladies European Tour), the LAGT (Ladies Asian Golf Tour), and the LPGA Symetra Tour, Libby brings vast knowledge of the game and the golf swing. She strives to teach golf in a simplistic manner, recognizing that every player requires different instruction. Libby aims to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere for learning by keeping information to a minimum. Through this approach, her students can head out to the golf course with immediate results. Libby is thankful for the opportunity to give back to the game that continues to bring her so much joy. She hopes to grow the sport as much as she can by sharing her enthusiastic love and knowledge for the game! Learn more about Libby at: www.libbysmithgolf.com
